Uisce Éireann is warning of supply outage risks for Cork homes and businesses following a “technical issue” at a pumping station.
The notice impacts around 600 customers in the Carrignavar area, and will last from 9pm this evening until late on Sunday. During this time, some properties are expected to experience intermittent water outages. Uisce Éireann crews are currently at the Carrignavar Pump Station and working to restore normal supplies as soon as possible.
Uisce Éireann’s John Sheahan said customers will be updated as repairs progress.
This notice comes as multiple areas in and around Cork city are also experiencing outages this afternoon. Uisce Éireann have confirmed a recent mains burst is also impacting supplies in Summerton Drive, Wilton and surrounding areas. Repairs at this burst were scheduled to wrap up at 3pm today – however homeowners nearby are warned supplies may not return to normal until late this evening.
Another water outage is also impacting homes and businesses in Waterfall village. Uise Éireann are still investigating the cause of this outage and is working to restore supplies.
