Comoros touched down on Wednesday, 17 December, dressed in sharp thawbs, the traditional long, ankle-length robes worn by men across the Indian Ocean archipelago. 

This marks just Comoros’ third AFCON appearance, and remarkably, a third in a row since their tournament debut in 2022, where they announced themselves by reaching the last 16.

The Coelacanths will open their AFCON 2025 campaign against hosts Morocco on Sunday, 21 December, stepping straight into the spotlight on opening night.
