The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Aldershot near Maryborough this morning, Saturday 20 December.
Shortly before 3.30am, a black Kia sedan collided with a semi-trailer on the Bruce Highway.
The driver and sole occupant of the sedan, a 41-year-old River Heads man, was declared deceased at the scene.
The 43-year-old male truck driver, from Mooloolaba, received minor injuries and was transported to hospital as a precaution.
Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone with information or relevant dashcam to come forward.
