Roma director of football Frederic Massara said that the club retain faith in Evan Ferguson ahead of an evening where the Irish striker had to settle for a substitutes role in defeat to Juventus but his manager’s post-match comments were less encouraging for the Brighton loanee.
Ferguson responded well to being benched, with the Bettystown native prominently involved in Roma’s attempts to mount a late comeback in a game where they fell two behind with 20 minutes remaining.
