RCMP say a man faces charges in connection with a break-and-enter at a Yellowknife school among other incidents.

Various downtown businesses have reported break-ins over recent weeks.

Investigations are ongoing, police said on Monday morning, but a 25-year-old has been charged in relation to a December 13 break-in at Mildred Hall School – one of several the school has suffered – as well as two incidents in November.

RCMP said one of those incidents resulted in the theft of a firearm.

The suspect, named by police as Clayton Koe, is charged with various counts related to breaking and entering, theft, trespassing, illegal use of firearms and a breach of bail conditions, RCMP stated.
