Woman arrested following seizure of €100k worth of drugs in Limerick City

A WOMAN in her 20s has been arrested following the seizure of €100,000 worth of herbal cannabis in Limerick city today.

The seizure of approximately five kilograms of herbal cannabis was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Limerick Divisional Drug & Detective Units, and Revenue Customs Service this Monday.

The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Gardaí arrested one woman who is currently detained at a garda station in County Limerick under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
