One of the ironies of the GAA’s Management Committee decision to accept its Ethics and Integrity Commission’s (EIC) recommendation to maintain sponsorships links with Allianz was that it was conveyed to its Central Council members in the immediate aftermath via a Microsoft Teams call.
“Microsoft has been active in Israel since 1991, developing its largest centre outside the US,” the same UN report, ‘From Economy Of Occupation To Economy Of Genocide,’ that linked an Allianz asset management subsidiary to Israeli Government bonds, revealed.
