Law enforcement officials working on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation in 2019 referred to Leslie Wexner, the billionaire retail tycoon, as among 10 “co-conspirators” in the case, emails disclosed by the Department of Justice on Monday show.
Federal agents and prosecutors fanned out across the US to serve grand jury subpoenas on the 10 individuals during the same week in July 2019 that Epstein was indicted on a sex-trafficking charge, according to the emails. The Justice Department redacted the names of most of the 10 when it released the emails, but left Wexner’s name visible.
