Wexford’s Eoin Staples will have to make sacrifices this festive period, but says it’s worth it

A 22-year-old Wexford jockey, who is spending his first Christmas as a professional, is taking the sacrifices that come with the job in his stride.
While most of us are dreaming of over-indulging on the turkey and pudding, Eoin Staples, from Rathangan, Co Wexford, will be focused on keeping his body fine-tuned for the busy Christmas racing calendar. It certainly helps that he is living his dream.
