BUENOS AIRES, Dec 26 – Argentina’s Congress on Friday passed the 2026 budget, the first approved by legislators since President Javier Milei took office in late 2023.
The budget was passed by 46 votes in favor, 25 votes against, and one abstention. The budget includes spending of 101.8 billion dollars (148 billion Argentine pesos) and projects GDP growth of 5% and an annual inflation rate of 10.1%. The bill also projects a primary budget surplus equivalent to 1.2% of the gross domestic product.
