A wolf escaped inside the Tama Zoological Park in Hino, western Tokyo, on Sunday morning, according to the zoo.

A zookeeper reported the incident to the park at around 10 a.m. and there have been no reports of injuries so far, NHK reported. The wolf was confirmed to be within the zoo grounds, and efforts are underway to capture the animal, it said.

The zoo has suspended admissions and is urging visitors already inside the park to remain in safe locations, such as inside buildings.
