Adam Harris, the high-profile campaigner and brother of Tánaiste Simon Harris, married his long-term partner Daniel O’Driscoll today.

The pair tied the knot in a private ceremony in front of family and friends on Fota Island resort in Co Cork.

Adam, who is the founder and chief executive officer of AsIAm, an autism charity, has spearheaded a national movement to break down the stigma surrounding autism.

Posting on his Instagram page this morning, Simon, who proudly stepped into the role of best man at his brother’s wedding, paid tribute to the happy couple.

“To Adam, my buddy, the best brother, uncle and friend anyone could ask for, wishing you and Daniel a lifetime of happiness on this, your wedding day. Proud of you always,” he said.

Among those sending their good wishes was US comedian Rosie O’Donnell, who said she was “so happy for ur (sic) whole family”, alongside a love-heart emoji.

In another post, Simon published a selfie alongside his brother, both wearing tuxedos. He wrote: “The sun is shining and he’s all set”.

In 2017, Simon married his wife Caoimhe, and Adam acted as his best man.

Adam originally announced his engagement in February 2023. He posted a smiling picture alongside Daniel saying “Tonight, I answered a very easy question from [Daniel O’ Driscoll]”.
