One person dead following collision on Highway 7

Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that one person has died following a collision on Highway 7.

The collision occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday on Highway 7, between Kaladar and Arden Road.

A transport truck and a pick-up truck had been involved in a collision.

Members of the Frontenac OPP, Central Frontenac Township Firefighters and Frontenac Paramedics responded to the scene.

The driver of the pick-up, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the transport was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from members of the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, including a Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigators.

Highway 7 remains closed between Highways 38 and 41.
