Bulldogs young gun Lachlan Galvin was met with a wave of boos as he ran out onto CommBank Stadium before he came face-to-face with former teammate Jarome Luai.
Running out onto the ground, the Tigers faithful made their feelings known with boos ringing out as the 20-year-old prepared to face off with Luai.
“This is Lachlan Galvin’s seventh game as a Bulldogs, it’s the first time though he faces the team he walked out on,” Warren Smith said.

As the camera focused in on the young playmaker, he delivered a wry smile as he geared up for one of the biggest occasions of his short career.
Inside 10 minutes, Luai also made his feelings clear.
The Tigers marquee man has been one of the most vocal players regarding Galvin’s exit, posting a photo which read ‘Team First’ to Instagram in the wake of his decision to depart.
Speaking prior to this clash, Luai also made it clear he was focused purely on winning, not his former halves partner.
“It’s not about Lachie, it’s not about the Dogs. It’s about us,” Luai told WWOS.
“That’s a story everyone wants to talk about. For us here inside our four walls, it’s about us and how we perform on game day.

“Coming off the back of a loss, my main focus as a player is how I prepare throughout the week and ultimately, how I’m gonna perform. It’s all about me and my team.”
However, there was clearly some bad blood after the star Tiger threw a dummy and charged straight at Galvin, palming his face before the Bulldogs halfback was penalised for a high tackle.
“There it is, Luai versus Galvin, and there’s a little bit there between the two former teammates,” Cooper Cronk said.
“Big right fend in the face. Watch the call it sportsmanship here… Luai in his face. Game on.”
