Brooklyn Beckham’s next step could devastate his parents David and Victoria Beckham as it’s warned his bombshell post is ‘only the start’ of their troubles. The amateur chef sent shockwaves with a lengthy statement, where he slammed his parents for “controlling” him all his life and trying to ruin his relationship with wife Nicola.
In an unprecedented statement, Brooklyn said he had no intention of ever reconciling with his family and blasted their “performative social media posts” and “inauthentic relationships”.
He shared: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
Brooklyn made a string of allegations about his parents’ behaviour at his wedding, accusing his mum of cancelling making Nicola Peltz’s dress “at the eleventh hour” and he also accused his mum of “dancing very inappropriately on me in front of everyone”.

The statement has shocked the wider showbiz world – with reports that Brooklyn may even consider writing a tell-all book about his family, akin to what Prince Harry did with his memoir Spare.
“This wasn’t a final cry for help. If people think it’s the end, it’s actually the beginning,” a source warned of Brooklyn’s next plans. There are reports he will consider releasing a tell-all book
“He’s always said he wasn’t interested. Maybe one day. Maybe in the future. But not now. This is the first time he’s seriously considered telling his side of the story to clear the air. He’s sick of others rewriting it for him,” a source told the Mail.
“There’s no doubt this would be a bestseller. Lifting the lid on the Beckham brand is something everyone would read. He’s not someone who’s going to quietly sail off into the sunset. Nicola’s career is ramping up and he wants his too. This is strategic.”
The Beckhams have not specifically replied to Brooklyn’s scathing statement but David, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, did an interview where he spoke about his kids’ mistakes.
“I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media . . . For the good and for the bad. What kids can access these days, it can be dangerous. But what I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons. I’ve been able to use my platform for my following, for UNICEF,” he said.
“And it has been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children. And I have tried to do the same with my children, to educate them. They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.”
