Balazs Toth – 8

Made a smart stop at 0-0 to deny Kone. Then again at the start of 11 minutes of stoppage time to keep it at 3-1. Two big moments.

Ryan Alebiosu – 7

Turned down a few opportunities to fly forward but defended his flank well.

Hayden Carter – 9

Superb at the back. Aggressive, read the game well and won his duels. Made a brilliant goal-saving block in stoppage time to keep it at 3-1. He has made a big difference since coming back.

Sean McLoughlin – 7

Solid alongside Carter. Handled the physicality of Kone and helped limit QPR to few clear-cut chances.

Eiran Cashin – 9

Another really strong performance. Wins a lot of his individual battles. Has been a very good January addition.

Ryoya Morishita – 9

The star man. Did unbelievably well for the first goal with the piece of skill and then inch-perfect cross. Took his header well. His best game for a little while.

Sondre Tronstad – 8

Two assist for the Rovers midfield maestro. Dominated the middle of the park and was excellent for both goals.

Moussa Baradji – 6

Had a poor first half defensively but did look bright going forward. Settled down after half time.

Dapo Afolayan – 6

A little loose on the ball which was a shame after his bright cameo last weekend. Taken off at half-time which may have been fitness-related, even if he didn’t have the best half.

Andri Gudjohnsen – 7

Ran the channels well. Could’ve had a penalty but referee waved it away.

Mathias Jorgensen – 8

Took his goals really well, particularly the second one. He’s been making good runs for a number of weeks but today, his team-mates found him.

Substitutes:

Lewis Miller (Afolayan, 45′) – N/A

Lasted only 10 minutes before he had to be stretched off with a serious-looking injury. Unchallenged, looked like a potential Achilles issue. Hope not as that would be him out for the season and Australia’s World Cup campaign.

Harry Pickering (Miller, 55′) – 6

His arrival prompted a change to 3-5-2. Solid at left-wing-back with the game already won.

Yuki Ohashi (Gudjohnsen, 74′) – 6

Was tasked with helping preserve the lead and did so with his hard work.

Adam Forshaw (Baradji, 90′) – N/A

On to help tighten things up with 11 minutes of stoppage time to navigate.

Kristi Montgomery (Morishita, 90′) – N/A

His first minutes after a shoulder injury.

Unused substitutes: Michalski, O’Riordan, Ribeiro, De Neve.
