A charity coffee morning will be held in Glenties next weekend to mark the first anniversary of the passing of a much-respected local woman.
Renowned for her compassionate care for others, Breid (Brigid) McGill of Gortnamucklagh and formerly Glen Road, passed away on August 7, 2024, surrounded by her family and the loving staff of the Donegal Hospice.
The palliative care nurse, and former hospice employee, has been remembered as a ‘lady’ full of kindness who brought invaluable comfort to countless patients and their families throughout Donegal.
On Sunday, August 10th, after 11am mass, her family invites you to the Market Hall for a fundraising coffee morning in loving memory of their dear aunt, sister and friend on her 1st Anniversary.
The McGill family would be delighted if you could attend.
All proceeds raised will be donated to the following charities: Cancer Care West, The Donegal Hospice and The Cancer Bus Services.
“These services were invaluable to Breid providing support, a listening ear, hope and comfort as she faced her cancer journey from diagnosis, treatment and final moments of care and support,” a spokesperson for the family said.
“We as her family will be forever grateful to these services. Hope to see you all there”.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up for those unable to attend. You can contribute at the following LINK.
