Alan Brazil has told Celtic to ‘get rid of him’ after the failed SFA appeal over Auston Trusty’s red card vs Hibs this week.
The talkSPORT pundit went on a strange rant as he fumed at Trusty for being ordered off in Celtic’s defeat to Hibs at Parkhead.
Auston Trusty will miss Celtic’s fixtures against Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts
After Celtic’s SFA appeal failed, Brazil appeared to contradict himself with a bizarre rant where the talkSPORT presenter fumed at Trusty and the VAR rules that saw the Hoops star see red.

After his second red card of the season, Brazil fumed as he told Celtic to sell Trusty after his latest disciplinary episode.
Brazil said on talkSPORT, “What about north of the border, unbelievable.”
McCoist: “What about some of the decisions, Al?”
Brazil: “One thing, I thought it was a penalty for Rangers at the weekend, But Trusty, who is, by the way, I thought he was alright when he first came to Celtic.
“For me, beat it, go, on you go. Get rid of him!”
McCoist: “There’s such a difference in his level of performances. The game in Italy I watched him, I thought he looks a proper centre back.”
Brazil: “I said to my pal, ‘Something’s happened to him. He’s lost the plot.’ That was before the weekend.”
Brazil slams ‘stupid rule’ after SFA reject Celtic red card appeal
The conversation took a strange turn after co-host Ally McCoist slammed the ‘ridiculous’ SFA rule that saw Trusty being sent off as Brazil appeared to contradict himself by agreeing with the former Rangers man.
McCoist: “I know that Celtic appealed it yesterday and it got knocked back.
Brazil: “It’s a stupid rule by the way.”
McCoist: “It’s ridiculous. He’s holding him and he knocks his hand away. I don’t think it’s a sending off. by, knocks his hand away
“I don’t think it’s a sending off. I had Neil Lennon on he was talking about the standard of refereeing, and he’s right.
“They’ll go, oh, well, it’s the laws and it’s the letter of the law. Come on Alan.”
So if it’s a stupid rule that saw Trusty get sent off, why does Brazil want Celtic to sell him off the back of it?
A strange stance by the Celtic-supporting talkSPORT man but not one that has not been seen or heard before.
Celtic now face a selection headache ahead of games against Rangers, Aberdeen and Motherwell as Trusty’s three-match ban comes into effect.
If Brazil wants to aim a rant somewhere, it should be at the VAR officials that suggested Trusty be given his marching orders for a challenge the talkSPORT man himself labelled ‘stupid’.
