“I know what’s going to happen, and you know what’s going to happen. A lot of people are going to die. Many people have already died. Netanyahu assures that this is a total victory. Again. Should we trust him?” Daoud wondered. “Trump says that this war is about democracy, but is it? Whose interest does this word really serve?”

Uri Weltman, field director of Standing Together, spoke about organizing and protesting the government throughout Israel’s war in Gaza.

“As people living in Israel, a drive away from where the events were happening, we had the responsibility not only to speak, but also to act,” he said.

“We fight against the actions of our government, both because they are deeply immoral, but also because they undermine our interest, our self-interest, they undermine our well-being, they undermine our security. They undermine our safety, and they undermine the future of our loved ones.”
