ScotRail has cancelled all services in and out of Glasgow Central
on Monday.
Services will not call at Glasgow Central low level but will
pass through the station to stop at Argyle Street and Anderson.
They said “limited replacement transport” was available and
apologised to passengers for any inconvenience.
Services from Glasgow Queen Street are not affected.
The Caledonian Sleeper will start its journey on Sunday night from Edinburgh.
Travel has been arranged with ScotRail for passengers with a valid Sleeper ticket between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh on the 21:00, 21:30, 22:00, 22:30 and 23:00 services.
The Sleeper will leave at 00:00
Avanti West Coast “strongly advised” against travel to or from
Glasgow Central on Sunday.
The operator recommended all passengers planning to travel
on Monday check the latest information on their journeys before setting off.
TransPennine Express said all services between Glasgow
Central and Manchester Airport and Liverpool Lime Street would not run on
Monday.
Delays and cancellations are also expected on the operator’s routes
between Edinburgh and Manchester Airport and Edinburgh and Newcastle due to
staff being displaced.
Affected passengers can use their tickets for travel on Sunday
or Monday if services resume by Tuesday or Wednesday.
