A planning inspector has said that a couple who built a large house in Co Meath without planning permission should not be refused retention solely for density reasons, because “similar developments have subsequently been permitted in the area”.
Rose and Chris Murray proposed demolishing 267 sq m of their 526 sq m home in Faughan Hill, Bohermeen, near Navan, in a bid to get retention after multiple previous failed attempts.
