A seven-year-old who was killed while on a major Midland road was a ‘beautiful, loving young boy who will be sorely missed’.

Isaac Radbourne died when he was hit by two vehicles, a blue Vauxhall Mokka and white Mercedes, on the A38 in Swinfen, Staffordshire, at around 5pm on Saturday.

“Isaac was a beautiful, loving young boy who will be sorely missed by his parents, grandparents, great grandparents and wider family”, his family said in a statement.

“Please respect our family and allow us time to grieve in privacy.”

The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene following the crash, a police spokesperson said, and were continuing to support officers with their inquiries.

“We understand the impact of this incident on the local community and the social media speculation that has followed,” the spokesman added.

“We ask that Isaac’s family are given the space and privacy needed to grieve during this unprecedented time and their wishes are respected.”
