Since the U. S. and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, hundreds have died across the Middle East, pulling Gulf states and Lebanon into the conflict. As of March 10, the reported death tolls are as follows:

In Iran, at least 1,270 people have been killed, according to state media, including 40 from an Israeli strike in Tehran. It is unclear if these numbers account for military casualties. The Iranian military reported that at least 104 people died when a U. S. submarine sank an Iranian warship off Sri Lanka’s coast.

In Lebanon, at least 486 people have died due to Israeli strikes, as reported by the health ministry. In Iraq, there have been at least 15 deaths from various incidents, including the killing of a military commander in an airstrike.

In Israel, two soldiers and eleven civilians, including nine from an Iranian missile strike, have been killed. The U. S. military reported the death of seven service members during operations against Iran. In Syria, four people died from an Iranian missile strike in Sweida.

The United Arab Emirates reported six deaths from Iranian attacks. In Saudi Arabia, two people died from a projectile that struck a residential area. Bahrain reported two fatalities from separate Iranian attacks. Kuwait confirmed two deaths, including a child, due to Iranian strikes, and additional casualties among security personnel. Lastly, Oman reported one death from a projectile hitting a product tanker off its coast.
