Nottingham Forest have been dealt an injury setback on the eve of Thursday’s Europa League first leg clash with FC Midtjylland at the City Ground.

Forest beat Fenerbahce in their play-off to reach this stage and will take a lot of heart from the first leg of that game into tonight’s clash.

Would you be happy with this Nottingham Forest team to play Midtjylland?

Let us know what changes you’d make!

Vitor Pereira’s team haven’t played for eight days since claiming a 2-2 draw with Manchester City, and his squad should be well rested for tonight.

However, a couple of players will now be missing from the squad selected by Pereira after he delivered a team news update in his press conference.

Ndoye has been linked with a move away from the club in recent days, after a less-than-impressive first season in the Premier League.

He scored the last time Midtjylland came to the City Ground, but Pereira has now confirmed that Ndoye has joined goalkeeper Stefan Ortega in the treatment room.

He said in his press conference: “Ortega may be out for a couple of matches, Matz will play tomorrow.

“Jair is in. Dan, I believe, is out. They are not serious injuries. Nothing special, but Dan cannot play tomorrow. Jair will be able to play tomorrow.”

Cunha has grown under Pereira at Forest

Playing under Sean Dyche must have been a frustrating experience for Cunha.

The talented defender has played a number of games under Pereira, and it appears as though he’s got the backing of the current boss.

Cunha will likely get the chance to play as part of a back three once again tonight, and he’s gaining invaluable experience with every game.

The youngster looks like a quality addition to the squad, and it’s a travesty he’s not featured a bit more often this season when Murillo has been injured.

It’s positive that Cunha is now getting exposure to the first team, and long may his run in the team continue.
