Dearborn Heights Mayor to address community following the Temple Israel attack

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WNEM) — Dearborn Heights mayor will address the community after Temple Israel attack.

Dearborn Heights Mayor Mo Baydoun and Police Chief Michael Guzowski will speak at a press conference following the attack at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.

The suspect in the attack lived in Dearborn Heights and was known in the local Lebanese community, according to CBS News Detroit.

On Thursday, March 12, a man was shot after driving his car into Temple Israel, a Reform Jewish synagogue. He was shot by temple security.

The suspect in the attack, 41-year-old Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a naturalized citizen born in Lebanon, is dead, according to the Associated Press. The FBI is investigating.
