A car flipped on its side on a major road in Walton this evening. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to Utting Avenue this evening (Saturday, March 14), close to the junction with Queens Drive.
Fire crew were alerted at 8.02pm and two fire engines arrived at the scene four minutes later. When they arrived, they found one car which had flipped on its side after a crash. No other vehicles were involved. The driver was already out of the car when the fire crew arrived. They were checked by paramedics at North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
Fire crews worked to make the scene safe before handing over to Merseyside Police and leaving at 8.31pm. Google Maps says a small section of Abingdon Road, leading to the Asda Walton superstore is currently closed.
Utting Avenue is a key route that connects Walton with Anfield, Everton, Norris Green and Croxteth.
