George Russell’s lead in the 2026 F1 drivers’ championship has reduced to four points after Kimi Antonelli secured victory in the Chinese Grand Prix.
The Italian became the second youngest F1 race winner after converting pole into the win at the Shanghai International Circuit.
It was another Mercedes one-two with Russell finishing in second, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in third who claimed a maiden podium for Ferrari on his 26th start for the team.
Charles Leclerc finished in fourth and has slipped to 17 points adrift of Russell, with Hamilton fourth in the standings but only a point behind his team-mate.
In the constructors’ standings, Mercedes has further extended its advantage over Ferrari to 31 points due to another one-two.
