Regional police have arrested a man from Milton in connection to a hate-motivated incident that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.
At roughly 12:10 a.m. police received calls of a disturbance near Wellington Street South in Kitchener.
A takeout order was taken which resulted in a man assaulting the victim and using hate-motivated speech.
The man then allegedly exposed himself to the victim before taking off. No physical injuries were reported from the incident.
Police were able to locate the suspect, a 36-year-old man, shortly after.
He’s been charged with theft under $5000 as well as indecent act.
