Celtic fans have voted for their man of the match from the win against Motherwell, and there is a clear winner.

The Hoops beat the Steelmen 3-1 to move to within two points of league leaders Hearts, who lost against Kilmarnock hours after the result.

Elijah Just impressed for Motherwell whereas Tawanda Maswanhise had a quieter afternoon on his audition at Celtic Park. Meanwhile, there were a number of standouts in the green and white, but it was always going to be one person and one person only.

Who was your man of the match from yesterday’s HUGE win?

Hyunjun Yang named TalkingPoints man of the match

Hyunjun Yang was the clear winner of the 67 Hail Hail man of the match award as he stormed to victory with more than half of the votes.

Yang scored twice for the Bhoys and was electric all afternoon on a day where Martin O’Neill needed players to step up.

Benjamin Arthur was second on the list after he continued to impress while deputising in place of Auston Trusty, who served the last game of his suspension.

Jutsifying their reason for voting the South Korean, this fan said: “Yang and thats for sure.” Another replied to that comment, saying: “I agree. Was so composed in front of goal for both of his efforts.”

More fans joined in, adding: “By the end of the game, Yang, Maeda and Hatate were running on fumes, especially in that 2nd half.”

Those two goals took Yang’s tally to eight for the season in all competitions. If he scores once more at any stage, that would make this year the best of his career in front of goal and surely secure his place in South Korea’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
