WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Several school districts and offices in the Lowcountry have canceled or adjusted schedules ahead of severe weather on Monday.
The Live 5 First Alert Weather team has issued a First Alert Weather Day for Monday because of the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms. The main concern with thunderstorms on Monday is the threat of damaging winds, but there is also a threat of tornadoes.
Charleston County School District, Berkeley County School District and Dorchester School District Two will have teacher workdays on Monday.

Williamsburg County School District
The Williamsburg County School District has canceled all after-school programs and extracurricular activities ahead of severe weather on Monday.
School district officials say they are closely monitoring weather conditions for Monday and will share updates as needed.
Georgetown County School District
The Georgetown County School District schools and offices will be closed on Monday ahead of potentially dangerous weather conditions.
All after-school activities for Monday, including athletic practices, games, meetings and other events, are canceled.
Parents and guardians should check for emails regarding e-learning schedules.
Dorchester School District 4
Dorchester School District Four will be closed on Monday due to the risk of high winds and severe storms.
All after-school activities are canceled.
Beaufort County School District
Beaufort County School District schools will shift to e-learning and a remote workday on Monday.
District buildings will be closed, and all extracurricular activities are canceled.
Normal operations will resume on Tuesday.
Colleton County School District
All school operations are canceled on Monday.
All district buildings, after-school programs, athletic events and extracurricular activities are also canceled.
Officials will provide an update regarding Tuesday’s operations when a decision is made.
