Arif Ahmadzai from Southsea and Abdullah Mirzad from Portsmouth, both 18, were charged with attempted murder following the attack on Thursday, March 12.

Abdul Shinwari, 19, from Southampton was charged with attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Police were alerted by the South Central Ambulance Service on March 12 after a 31-year-old man suffered a puncture wound to his leg.

The injured man remains in hospital with his condition, initially described as serious and possibly life-threatening, now being stable.

The three men charged have been remanded into custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today.

As investigations continue, an 18-year-old from Southampton and two other men, aged 21 and 29 from Portsmouth, have been released on bail until June 12.

The police are conducting ongoing investigations in the vicinity of Hawthorn Crescent and Cosham Park.
