The 2026 Oscars have come and gone. The 98th Academy Awards were the feather in the cap of a long and dramatic awards season that delivered plenty of surprises along the way. While not everyone left with the coveted Oscar statuette, celebrities who graced the red carpet still have a chance to win one last award: best and worst Dressed.
Since this year’s red carpet featured some truly head-scratching looks, we’ve added another title up for grabs: Wackiest ensemble. We asked Yahoo Canada readers to cast their votes — and as always, they delivered.
Keep reading to see who you chose as best, worst and wackiest look from the 2026 Oscars red carpet.
BEST: Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton

Stone’s shimmering Louis Vuitton gown was a hit with Yahoo Canada readers, earning 46 per cent of reader votes. Although Stone’s red carpet style has been minimalist as of late, the silver sequin fabric added glamour to the otherwise simple square-neck, cap-sleeve design.

Stone’s makeup artist, Nina Park, used Louis Vuitton cosmetics to create a soft iridescent look that made the star’s blue eyes sparkle. The soft bob and earrings stack added the ’90s edge that’s been a go-to for Stone in 2026.
WORST: Kevin O’Leary

If money talks and wealth whispers, O’Leary’s Oscars ensemble is rupturing eardrums. The Canadian businessman, who starred alongside Timothée Chalamet in Marty Supreme, earned 83 per cent of reader votes to take the title of worst dressed.

O’Leary’s look included a very busy, very gauche Dolce & Gabbana jacket that reportedly took seven months to create and a custom Tiffany & Co. necklace featuring images of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
Wackiest: Chloe Zhao

The look, by British designer Gabriella Hearst, was made from repurposed wool gauze, dyed black and coated with silver metal leaf. The gown featured a ruffled skirt and a diamond Bvlgari snake necklace.
