The current Princess of Wales is just as fond of the Collingwood earrings as her late mother-in-law was. She has been spotted wearing them on a number of occasions, including to the annual Festival of Remembrance in 2024, for a service of thanksgiving to commemorate VE Day last year, and to welcome President Macron of France and his wife, Brigitte, for their official state visit to Britain in July.

The Princess wore the Collingwood earrings with the Lover’s Knot Tiara for the first time in July 2017 for a banquet at Buckingham Palace, celebrating the Spanish state visit. Since then, she has continued to rely upon the classic combination for her most important engagements, including the Dutch state banquet at in October 2018, for which she also wore Queen Alexandra’s pearl-accented wedding necklace. Kate is so partial to the Collingwood earrings, that she even wore them for a portrait commissioned for her 40th birthday.
