A 32-year-old man is charged with second-degree murder after the body of a 57-year-old man was found in a burnt-out vehicle just north of the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway yard in Winnipeg.

Around 2 p.m. on March 13, police recovered a vehicle on Jarvis Avenue, between McKenzie and McGregor streets, that they believe was intentionally burned, a news release said on Thursday morning.

Investigators found the remains a man inside, later identified as Vincent Morrissette.

Fabian Gerald Michelle was arrested Sunday and charged on Monday.

Police believe the men got into a fight a few blocks away on Salter Street, near Pritchard Avenue, before the fire was set.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the homicide unit at 204-986-6508.
