A mass casualty incident, or MCI, is an emergency designation used when the number of victims may overwhelm local medical resources and requires a broader emergency response.

Several ambulances were reported responding to the scene as emergency crews worked at the venue.

The Carroll County, NH Scanner Alerts Facebook group, which provides local news by listening in to police scanners (which is legal in the US) said in a post today: “The Preserve at Chocorua, The Tap House, 88 Philbrook Neighborhood Rd, Tamworth, NH. Part of the floor collapsed into the basement during an event here. 145 people were present at the time. At least 10 ambulances have been requested for those injured.
