Hammers hero Axel Disasi has a warning for West Ham thanks to his inside intel on Aston Villa’s fans and their players.

When West Ham tried to sign Axel Disasi last season, the French defender snubbed them in favour of a move to Aston Villa.

The Hammers made an offer to take Disasi on loan from Chelsea but he opted for Aston Villa, who had loftier aims of European qualification.

Now it is that spell with Villa that could help West Ham avoid relegation.

Disasi warns West Ham what to expect from Villa and their fans

Because Disasi has warned West Ham with his inside intel on Aston Villa’s fans and players ahead of what is a huge Premier League clash at Villa Park.

It is being dubbed survival Sunday with the Hammers taking on Villa while relegation rivals Spurs and Forest go head-to-head.

What changes would you make to this team against Aston Villa? 🤔

Harsh on Todibo but we NEED to win

Depending on the result from that game, West Ham could rise above both teams with a win at Aston Villa.

A draw would even be enough for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to climb out of the relegation zone if Forest lose at Tottenham.

There could have been an imaginary piece of string attached between Aston Villa and the Hammers of late.

Villa’s brilliant form, which had them on the rails as title dark horses, has tailed off while West Ham have closed a seven-point gap on Forest and a 12-point gap on Spurs to a single point with eight games to go.

If West Ham do stay up from here, Disasi will have been a key figure in their survival.

Now it is his knowledge of Aston Villa which could help the Hammers pull off a vital result as much as his towering performances for Nuno’s side.

On paper it looks like West Ham are facing Aston Villa at a good time.

Disasi: West Ham should not be fooled by poor Villa form

Unai Emery’s side have lost four of their last six games in all competitions to leave their Champions League hopes in the balance.

Disasi says that West Ham would be making a grave mistake thinking Villa are there for the taking after three straight Premier League defeats.

Agree or disagree? West Ham SHOULD NOT buy Axel Disasi this summer 💭

Brazil international Leo Pereira would be a MUCH BETTER signing…

But the loan star has warned his manager and West Ham teammates that Villa’s players will be determined to beat them and says he knows the Villa Park faithful will make things extremely difficult.

Especially with the game coming before an international break.

“We know that Aston Villa are not in really good shape, but having played for them, I know there is a good atmosphere at Villa Park with great fans, so they will push them,” Disasi told West Ham’s website.

“I know the players over there, so they will try to do their maximum to win the game before the international break.

“It’s going to be a tough game, but I’m sure that we can do something.”

Nuno will be grateful for Disasi’s inside knowledge of Aston Villa given what is riding on the game for his side.

The defensive rock’s warning should help guard against any complacency that may arise off the back of West Ham’s fine run of form in recent months.

Disasi’s time at Aston Villa may not have been long, but it was certainly instructive — and it helps explain why the defender speaks with such authority about what West Ham can expect.

While his spell didn’t quite hit the heights some anticipated, it gave him a clear understanding of the demands and intensity surrounding the club.

Villa, especially in recent seasons, have become a different beast at home. The atmosphere is aggressive, the crowd engaged, and there is a clear sense of momentum when things click.

Disasi experienced that first-hand — both the highs when Villa Park is bouncing and the scrutiny that comes when standards drop.

Disasi knows how the Villa crowd can turn a tight game into a relentless wave of pressure, particularly when the team senses vulnerability in the opposition.

Now his teammates have no excuses as they head to Villa Park with their eyes wide open.
