On Tuesday evening, Donald Trump delivered an update on the war, delivering a 15 point peace plan. Here is a recap of what he said:
The US President said his administration was “talking to the right people” in Iran, and “they want to make a deal so badly”. He added Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were involved in the negotiations.
He added that the US-Israeli strikes on Iran have led to “regime change” – but also warned that he did not trust “anybody”
“They did something yesterday that was amazing actually,” Trump said. “They gave us a present and the present arrived today. And it was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money.” He added no specifics
Asked how hopeful he was that a peace deal with Iran would work, Trump responded: “This war has been won”
