A ‘wonderful’ dad-of-three who tragically died after being found unconscious in Crumpsall has been named. Tributes have been paid to Nawaz Khan, 43, who sadly died in hospital after being found on Crescent Road at around 11.50pm on Monday night (March 23).
Officers taped off the street on Tuesday, with forensic investigators seen gathering evidence from the street. Greater Manchester Police had arrested a man on suspicion of murder, but it’s understood Mr Khan’s family do not believe he has been murdered.
The family have told the M.E.N. they have been informed the results of a post-mortem indicated Nawaz had suffered a medical episode. GMP has been approached for an update on its investigation.

In a moving tribute, Mr Khan’s daughter Surayah Khan, 19, told the Manchester Evening News: “He was a wonderful person. He struggled after his mum died in 2021. He had three children who he adored, he would go the lengths of the earth for them.
“He had four sisters, he would have done anything for them. He was always messaging and checking up on people. I last spoke to him on Saturday and I got the call on Monday that he was in hospital and he had passed away.

“We were starting to bond and I wish we had longer. We started going out together, taking him places. He was hilarious, always trying to put a smile on people’s faces. If you needed he would give you his last £10.
“He loved working on cars, he would always buy a really cheap one and spend weeks fixing it up. He was very well known in the area, when he was young he would go around in cool cars with gold chains on and everyone knew him.

“I want to say how much he loved his family and for people to know he was not in conflict with anybody.”
Mr Khan’s sister, Nazleen Khan, also paid tribute to her brother – describing him as ‘one of the gentlest souls you could ever meet’ whose family ‘were the centre of his world’.
