Merseyside Police says it is continuing to investigate the incident in Bootle with the support of the Health and Safety Executive

A man has died after an industrial incident in Bootle on Wednesday. Emergency services were sent to a premises on Primrose Business Park in Rimrose Road at around 12pm on Wednesday (March 27), with an air ambulance also called to the area.
Merseyside Police has this evening, Saturday (March 28), said that the man, who has been named as Yasen Sharif, 27, has died as a result of his injuries. The force says it is continuing to investigate the incident, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). A Home Office postmortem investigation will take place on Monday, March 30 and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
In a statement, Yasen’s family said: “It is with profound sadness and unimaginable grief that we announce the passing of Yasen Sharif at the age of just 27 years.
“Yasen’s death was a tragedy, and the circumstances surrounding how he passed are deeply heartbreaking.
“Our family is devastated and we are committed to seeking justice to ensure this does not happen again.
“Yasen was a beloved son, husband, brother and friend. He was a computer science graduate and was pursuing his Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Liverpool John Moores University. He was passionate, driven, and full of promise.
“He brought light, warmth, and happiness everywhere he went. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Yasen, or crossing paths with him, will remember his kindness, his spirit and the joy he gave so freely to others.
“He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
“Our family kindly asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time, as we grieve this devastating loss.”
