Michael Dawson has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has been hit with a truth bomb after Spurs’ 4-0 loss to Bayern Munich.
Tottenham legend Harry Kane opened the scoring against Spurs at the Allianz Arena before missing a penalty after he slipped in the run-up.
Spurs managed to keep their deficit down to just the one goal until the hour mark, when the floodgates opened.
Kingsley Coman curled home Bayern’s second after Djed Spence gave the ball away cheaply in the 61st minute of the match.
Lennart Karl and Jonah Kusi-Asare then struck in the 74th and 80th minutes respectively to give Bayern a comprehensive victory against a poor Spurs side.
Michael Dawson offered a brutal post-match assessment as he admitted that Tottenham have a lot of work to do.

Dawson, speaking on Spursplay, admitted that Tottenham simply weren’t good enough and struggled both in and out of possession.
He also speculated over what Frank may have told his Tottenham charges after the game, specifically where they went wrong.
“Spurs have to lick their wounds, dust themselves down and go again,” said the former Spurs ace. “Bayern were better on the night they caused all sorts of problems.
“Spurs just weren’t good enough. Accept it and move on to the Super Cup on Wednesday. No making excuses, Bayern were better tonight. It’s a bigger game next Wednesday.
“Thomas Frank will realise when you’re beaten 4-0 in a pre-season friendly, it hurts.
“Thomas will say: why didn’t we take the ball in better areas? Why didn’t we control it better when you’re away from home?
“You go a goal down and give a penalty away within 15 minutes. Your backs are against the wall and it gives them a lift. Spurs didn’t do well enough in and out of possession.”
Dawson then said Frank will be fully aware that Tottenham are nowhere near the finished article.
“Alright, there’s a big game against PSG in the Super Cup, but for me the aim is still on Burnley and the Premier League game,” Dawson continued.
“Yes, there is a trophy up for grabs, but Spurs are still working towards it and Thomas knows this isn’t the finished article. Nowhere near.”

Who Tottenham should sign next based on Bayern rout
James Maddison is sadly set for months on the sidelines due to an ACL injury, and Dejan Kulusevski is also currently out injured.
This has deprived Tottenham of creativity, and it was evident in the loss to Bayern.
With that in mind, Spurs should look to bring in a new No. 10 who can create opportunities, pull the strings and get fans off their seats.
Jack Grealish could still emerge as a Tottenham target before the transfer deadline, according to Ben Jacobs.
