The matchup between Germany and Slovenia is part of the preparation games before the start of the EuroBasket 2025.

This offseason has been all about Doncic as the Los Angeles Lakers star has gone through a phenomenal transformation to lose weight.
Additionally, Doncic has also signed a contract extension with the Purple and Gold. Now, the next step for Luka is to lead the Lakers to an NBA Championship.
But before that, national duty has called Doncic. With the 26-year-old all set to take on Germany in a preparation game, he received nothing but praise from German captain Schroder.
“He’s one of the best players in the world, who can score endlessly, but also has the IQ for the game and always makes the right decisions,” Schroder said via Spox.
He adds: “Doncic is ‘a fierce competitor who always wants to win.’”
Indeed, Doncic is capable of turning the tide of the game in favor of his team. Additionally, fans are on the edge of their seats to see what the new, slimmer version of Doncic is capable of doing on the court.
Dennis Schroder says Germany teammate Franz Wagner is a ‘future All-Star’
While Schroder is the captain of Germany, Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner will likely be the true difference-maker for the team.
Wagner has already impressed fans with a new three-point shot. Now, ahead of EuroBasket 2025, the Magic star received an All-Star prediction from his teammate.
“The guy is different. Franz is a future All-Star. He should have been an All-Star this year, but unfortunately, he got injured.
“His playing skills are great, but his human qualities are even better,” Schroder stated.
German and Magic fans alike will hope that Wagner stays fit throughout the year, as he is expected to make another big leap.
