Update 6 p.m.: The Nampa Police Department said it was reopening Interstate 84 at Exit 38 eastbound, which is Garrity Boulevard, and police were wrapping up activity near Ten Mile Road. Police said drivers can still expect delays on the interstate and surrounding streets.

All lanes on Interstate 84 between Nampa and Meridian were closed late Wednesday afternoon as authorities responded to an incident near Ten Mile Road.
According to a Facebook post from the Nampa Police Department, there was a “law enforcement incident” causing the closure, which began at about 4:52 p.m.
Nampa police said officers closed I-84 at Exit 38 eastbound, which is Garrity Boulevard. Drivers traveling in that area will be rerouted. The interstate also is closed westbound past Ten Mile.
Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.
