Drug trafficking ring bust in North Philadelphia leads to 17 arrests

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Seventeen people are facing charges following the takedown of a North Philadelphia-based drug trafficking ring.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday says this also includes the arrest of the group’s 56-year-old leader, Louis Alexander.

Law enforcement served search warrants at 30 locations throughout the city, Delaware County and New Jersey last week after years of investigating.

Along with the arrests, officers also seized cocaine, fentanyl, pills, cash and more than two dozen firearms.
