Justin Trudeau and Prince Harry were pictured this week on a ski lift in Montana, alongside Olympic champion Eileen Gu, in a rare off-duty moment that brought together politics, royalty and sport.
The image, shared by Gu on Thursday on Instagram, showed the trio smiling in full ski gear as they rode the lift up the mountain.
The Duke of Sussex wore a black ski suit with helmet and goggles as well as sunglasses. Trudeau, who once worked as a ski instructor himself, was similarly dressed in dark gear. Gu stood out in a white ski suit and a Red Bull-branded helmet.
“This week!!” she wrote, posting the photo to Instagram with a handful of other photos from around the world.
On Friday, Meghan Markle also shared a video of their son Archie skiing.
“My boys. Quick learner, Archie! So proud.”
Based on this footage, they appeared to be skiing in Big Sky Resort.
Harry and the former prime minister are believed to be friends. They attended the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, where the two were seen chatting and laughing during events, including an indoor rowing competition.
Additional photos shared by Gu suggested Katy Perry, Trudeau’s partner, was also present at some point on the trip.
