Why Israel’s Main Airport Remains Closed While Gulf Flights Continue

Since the beginning of the war, more than 80 percent of Iran’s missiles and drones have been directed at Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait. While nearly 1,000 such threats were launched toward Israel, the UAE alone dealt with approximately 2,200 missiles and drones, according to an analysis published by Asharq Al-Awsat at the end of March.
