Sarnia police are investigating a homicide at Lambton College.

Police were called to a campus bar for reports of gunfire at around 12:50 a.m. Friday.

Responding officers located three injured people, one with life-threatening injuries.

A 20-year-old Sarnia man was taken to Bluewater Health but despite lifesaving efforts was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and further details regarding the investigation were not immediately available.

In a post to Facebook, Lambton College said the incident happened during a Student Administrative Council event at the Main Campus.

“This is a shocking and saddening event for our community. Support resources are available to students through the Counselling page on MyLambton,” read the post.

The Sarnia campus is closed Friday, including all classes and on-campus activities.

The closure is inclusive of all classes and services at the Main Campus, Fire School, Skilled Trades Training Centre, EarlyON Child & Family Centre, and Community Employment Services.

Sarnia police are expected to be on scene near the college for an extended period.
