Police are searching for a missing boater after a canoe capsized in Brampton late Saturday night.
Emergency crews responded to the Heart Lake Conservation Area, where Peel Regional Police are leading an underwater search and recovery operation.
Officials say the incident began as a water rescue after a canoe overturned, involving two people.
One adult female was rescued and transported to hospital by paramedics last night with non-life-threatening injuries related to cold water exposure.

The second individual went underwater and has not yet been located. EMS officials say the person being searched for is believed to be male.
Police, fire crews and paramedics remain on scene as the search continues.
