Well, what a week it’s been at Hull FC, who play their first game since it was confirmed that John Cartwright will leave the club against St Helens this Thursday night.
The Black and Whites have stated they will part ways with their head coach at the end of the season – but given the situation, it has prompted speculation that he may leave sooner, and that speculation was only intensified on Monday in a fiery press conference. Cartwright stated that he feels ‘a little bit betrayed and disrespected’ by the club, and went on to explain his version of the ins and outs of his incoming exit. Read all about that here.
But now it’s about the rugby league, and the players, who Tom Briscoe insists are looking to put all the drama behind them and focus on what’s ahead. That’s an in-form Saints side, who come into the clash on the back of a sensational Good Friday comeback win against Wigan, not to mention cup scalp over Catalans last week. A tough test awaits, and as always we’ll be there with all the build-up, teams live, live action, and post-match reaction. Stay tuned.
