MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Union’s party celebrating the return of the Memorial Union Terrace chairs will begin earlier than originally scheduled because of the threat of severe weather.
The party, which was originally supposed to begin at 3 p.m., will now run from 1-3 p.m. at the Terrace, a spoksperson for the Wisconsin Union said.
There will be a DJ performance, lawn games and $1 hot dogs, chips and sodas. UW students, faculty and staff with a valid Wiscard can grab a free brat while supplies last.
The Wisconsin Union expects the fish fry at Lakeview Lounge to he held as scheduled from 4-8 p.m. A ‘Free Art Friday’ event will also be held in the Festival Room at Memorial Union from 5-8 p.m.
Madison is in line to receive another round of heavy rain Friday afternoon. The storms have the potential to bring hail and a possible tornado.
