Kyaw (Chin) Doe, 24, of London, was charged the next day with second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and a firearms offence. But Doe, who’s considered armed and dangerous and has ties to other areas of Ontario, went into hiding, police said.
On Thursday, the Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers chapter said on its website that they, and the Sarnia police board, were offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to Doe’s arrest.
In an email Friday afternoon to local media, Bill Dennis, a Sarnia city and Lambton County councillor, offered to match the offer and boost the total to $50,000. But after an email exchange with Sarnia’s police chief about waiting for the family’s input, he agreed to hold off on his offer.

Sarnia police issued an updated photo of Doe Wednesday while cautioning he may have altered his appearance. They also said they obtained a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
“This means that the Sarnia Police Service will retrieve him from any location he may be found within Canada,” they said.
Earlier this week, Sarnia’s police chief urged Doe to turn himself in.
Oudom (Richard) Bun, 23, was arrested the day after the shooting at his home on Stonehenge Place in London and charged with second-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder, police said. He has yet to seek bail.
Two 19-year-old Sarnia residents, Johnathan Osborne-Walsh and Ava-Leigh Lightheart, also were charged in the case. They both face multiple charges, including accessory after the fact to murder and firearms counts.
Bun, Osborne-Walsh and Lightheart are still in custody and have yet to seek bail.
